Exploring the Past
Got a hankering to know who ran for city council in 1965? Wondering what the council was talking about in 1987? Want to know when the council approved a setback on your property? The answers are a mouse click away.
A city creates thousands of documents each year. Many documents reflect the business of the day such as dog licenses, inventory lists or brochures. Others have significant historical value to the community.

Keeping Government Records
Roseville follows the state’s General Record Retention Schedule for keeping government records. We are currently transferring many of the city’s public documents to an electronic imaging system to make them more accessible to the community. We encourage you to review the documents that are online.

Documents Online
  • Affidavits of legal publications
  • City council packets, minutes, ordinances and resolutions
  • Commission packets and minutes
  • Elections information
  • Oaths of council and commissioners
Laserfiche opens up storage space and offers an affordable and easily accessible way of filing documents. Documents are available 24 hours a day for anyone with internet access. Documents are searchable so you can research documents at your convenience.
We have posted some historical documents on this site, but we are focusing on posting current documents. As time and budgets allow, we will add historical documents to the archives.
