Notification Process and Scheduling
If you do not have a new water meter and radio installed at your residence, you will get a letter requesting you to make an appointment.  The City of Roseville has 3 meter reading areas.  If your meter needs to be upgraded, you will receive a letter from the City of Roseville and our staff will be performing the work, sample Roseville letterPlease do not make an appointment until you receive a letter asking you to do so.

Important Appointment Information
  • It is important that an appointment be scheduled within two weeks of receiving notice for the work to be completed in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Meter appointments are scheduled in two-hour blocks of time.
  • An adult 18 years or older must be present at the time of installation.
  • A 3’ by 3’ clear zone is desired for accessing the water meter and shut-off valve; the installer must be able to reasonably reach the fixtures and have clearance for tools used to perform the work; if the water meter is obstructed, you will be instructed to re-schedule.
  • Shut-off valve must be in working condition – it is the homeowner’s responsibility to fix the valve, if needed before making an appointment.
  • Installations typically take less than 30 minutes.
