Passports

Notice: City of Roseville offices and passport centers will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving holiday November 25 and November 26. We reopen Monday, November 29.

The Roseville Passport Center is now offering both walk-in and appointment services to process Passport Applications and provide photo services. Please click the link below to schedule an appointment.

Note: The Passport Center begins a standby process for walk-in services one hour before closing time in an effort to complete as many transactions as possible. Requests for walk-in transactions occurring less than an hour before closing time cannot be guaranteed.

Types of Passports

There are two types of Passports that U.S. citizens are eligible to apply for:
  • Passport Book

Can be used for land, air, and sea travel.
  • Passport Card

Can be used for land and sea crossings between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean only. CANNOT be used for international travel by air.
U.S. Citizens can have both a U.S. Passport Book and a U.S. Passport Card, if desired. For more information about the difference between a Passport Book and a Passport Card visit the U.S. Department of State.

Photos

All photos submitted with applications for a US Passport must meet U.S. Department of State requirements. Photos can be taken at the City of Roseville Passport Office for $15.
