Fall Schedule 2020-2021

PLEASE NOTE: Due to unpredictability of COVID-19, we have updated the schedule to reflect two sessions instead of one long school year session.

Session 1: September 12 - November 25

Registration Open August 18th at 8:00 am for Session 1.

Session 2: November 30 - June 12 (Tentative recital June 11-12, 2021).

Registration for Session 2 opens Oct. 26 to Session 1 students. Registration opens to new students Nov. 2.

​Intermediate 1 

Class for dancers who have beginner dance experience. Dancers continue to be challenged with new and exciting jazz dance steps. Class also introduces Lyrical/Modern dance style. Dancers work on flexibility, floor progressions and understanding of weight shifting. This class does not cover tap or ballet and is intended to be paired with an Intermediate Technique ballet/tap class, though not required.

Intermediate 2

Class for dancers who have completed Intermediate 1 dance. Dancers continue to be challenged with new and exciting jazz dance steps, while mastering jazz basics. Class also continues to deepen dancers understanding of the Lyrical/Modern dance style. Dancers work on flexibility, floor progressions, the role of emotion in dance, and understanding of weight shifting. This class does not cover tap or ballet and is intended to be paired with a Technique ballet/tap class, though not required.

Intermediate 3 & Advanced 

Class for dancers who have completed Intermediate 1 and 2 dance. Dancers continue to be challenged with new and exciting jazz dance steps, while mastering jazz basics. Class also continues to deepen dancers understanding of the Lyrical/Modern dance style. Dancers work on flexibility, floor progression, the role of emotion in dance and understanding of weight shifting. dancers will also be introduced to choreographic processes, and have the opportunity to put in a piece of input in creating their own dances with instructor supervision. This class does not cover tap or ballet and is intended to be paired with a Technique ballet/tap class, though not required.

Intermediate Technique 

Ballet and tap are the foundation of many dance techniques. Expand your ballet technique beyond the beginner level, and continue to strengthen your foundation. This class allows dancers to focus on improving their skills & technique without the pressure of learning several complex dances. Highly recommended as a supplemental class for students already enrolled in an (intermediate) recital based class. While choreography will be taught, the focus of this class will be on strengthening a solid foundation and speed, accuracy, and tightness or tap/ballet combinations, not on choreography.

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet & Tap Technique Class

This class is highly recommended for upper level dancers to continue to strengthen their foundation while expanding their tap and ballet skills. This class allows dancers to focus on improving their skills and technique without the pressure of learning several complex dances. Highly recommended as a supplemental class for students already enrolled in an (intermediate) recial-based class. Competitive Dance Team Prep

This class will focus on the strength, flexibility, and skills/tricks necessary for being a part of a dance team. We also  will be working on synchronization and using team work in order to build dance combinations used to create a competitive Jazz dance.  Great to take in addition to Advanced Combo or Technique classes!
