Galtier Lift Station Improvements Project


Lift stations are sanitary sewer facilities that connect low-lying neighborhoods to the City’s larger sanitary sewer system.  They pump (or lift) the wastewater to a higher elevation pipe so it can flow into large collection pipes and onward to regional treatment facilities. 

The City of Roseville is rehabilitating the lift station on Galtier Street by replacing pipe, installing new pumps, controls and back-ups.  During this work, the contractor will bypass the lift station, so no interruption of sanitary service should occur.

This project is funded by City utility funds.  There will be NO ASSESSMENTS for this work within the City of Roseville.


The following schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change:

  • April 12 – Public Hearing at the City Council Meeting on Noise Variance
  • Mid-April – Construction Begins
  • April 19 – Pipe Replacement in Galtier Street, Road Closure Begins
  • April 26 – Bypass Installation (noise variance requested for this day in case the bypass construction extends past 9pm)
  • April 30 – Road Closure Ends, Remaining Construction On-Site 
  • June – Construction Complete

Road Closures and Detours

Galtier Street will be closed to traffic from April 19 – 30, weather permitting.  Access to properties will remain open.  See map for the closure location.
