Find out what the Cedarholm Clubhouse Replacement Advisory Team recommends when it presents its final report to the community Tuesday, August 16 at the Lexington Park Building, 2131 Lexington Ave. North.
The advisory team will receive the final report at 6:30 p.m. Following that, the task force will present the report to community at 7:15, with a question and answer session to follow.
Earlier this year, the City Council established the advisory team to make recommendations for the Cedarholm Clubhouse. A task force of 23 citizens included residents, representatives from the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Finance Commission, a Councilmember, and representatives from the Historical Society and the Senior Golf League. They were provided with support from city staff.
The City Council asked the advisory team to review current and future operations and capital needs of the Cedarholm Golf Course and to provide advice on the future development of the clubhouse.
The advisory team met several times, starting in March 2016. Each meeting was devoted to a specific topic including community input, exploring funding options and possible partnerships. They also discussed the size, functions and usage strategies of the clubhouse. This report will make recommendations to the council for the rebuilding and operation of the Cedarholm Golf Course Clubhouse.
