Roseville’s Alzheimer’s & Dementia Community Action Team (Rsvl A/D) is hosting a two-part series in January and February designed to help determine whether a loved one with dementia can safely be cared for at home.
Part one, Resources to Stay at Home, will be held on Thursday, January 12 and will feature a panel of senior industry experts. The panel will discuss assessments that can be done as well as what resources are available to care for a loved one with dementia at home.
Is it Time to Consider a Move?, part two in the series, will be held on Thursday, February 9. Attendees will learn the signs that indicate it is no longer safe to care for your loved one at home. Senior living professionals will discuss signs that it is time to move from home as well as steps to help families with the transition to a care facility. This session will also include information on assessing housing options.
Both events will be held at the Roseville branch of the Ramsey County Library, 2180 N. Hamline Ave., from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and are part of RSVL A/D’s 2017 Dementia: Caring & Coping series.
Dementia: Caring & Coping is presented by RSVL A/D, Alzheimer’s Speaks, Arthur’s Residential Care, the City of Roseville, Cherrywood Pointe of Roseville, Good Samaritan Home Care, Lyngblomsten, and Roseville Area Senior Program.
