Parents, challenge your child’s creativity and intellect. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to enroll them in an Extreme Mobile Electronix Challenge, August 21-25.
Over the week, participants will build 20 to 30 machines, including a mobile juggernaut equipped with disc shooter, sirens, flashing lights and voice recorder. Kids will also make and take home their very own electric vehicle.
These junior scientists will explore the basics of electricity, including measuring ohms, amps, voltage, open and closed circuits and more. Parents note, we only use DC current (batteries); no AC current (electrical outlets) will be used. Safety is our first rule.
Cost is $164 regular or $156 for Roseville residents. Camp meets August 21-25 from 9:00 to noon. For girls and boys ages 7 to 12. Meet at Villa Park, 2055 Cohansey Blvd, Roseville. Call 651-792-7110 to register.
