Neighborhood Speed Boards Available

Speedboard

One of the most frequent complaints that Roseville police officers get is about cars speeding down residential streets. The Roseville Police Department offers a speed board program to address traffic concerns.

With approximately 120 miles of city, county, state and interstate roadways to patrol and approximately 10,000 traffic contacts in a year, officers take those complaints seriously.

Individuals or neighbors can request to have a temporary speed board sign placed on their street. The speed board has a flashing light that shows a driver’s speed. It also helps raise awareness that the speed limit on residential streets is 30 mph, unless otherwise posted.

Speed boards are placed on a street for up to 10 days. If needed, officers will increase patrols in the neighborhood.

Residents can request a temporary speed board by filling out an application at www.cityofroseville.com/speedboard or by calling 651-792-7008.
