Roseville firefighters have been offering free, hands-only cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes each month. The final class will be on Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. Classes meet at the Roseville Fire Station.
Firefighters teach an easy-to-learn two-step, hands-only CPR process.Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops and can no longer pump blood to the brain or vital organs. According to the American Heart Association, only about one in 10 heart attack victims survives. By using hands-only CPR, we may be able to improve those odds.Hands-Only CPR is CPR without mouth-to-mouth breaths. It is recommended for use by anyone who sees a person collapse suddenly.
