The Planning Commission is close to finishing its final review of Roseville's 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update and are holding special meeting on February 15 and February 28 that are open to the public.
On February 15, the commission will meet to refine final details before gathering again on February 28 to review the complete draft plan.
A comprehensive plan guides the growth, redevelopment and overall improvement of a city. Roseville’s current Comprehensive Plan identifies not only a land-use plan, but also develops a framework to help shape the character of the community and enhance the quality of life.
Cities update their Comp Plan updated every 10 years, re-calibrating it to ensure that it continues to reflect the community’s collective vision for its future and aligns with the Metropolitan Council’s plan for the region.
Over the past year, the City of Roseville has held dozens of community meetings, listening sessions and opportunities for residents and businesses to provide input into the 2040 Comp Plan Update.
In addition to the Planning Commission meetings, the City Council will review the update draft at its March 19 work session. The Planning Commission will hold its public hearing on the final draft of the updated plan on April 4. The City Council is expected to take final action on the Comprehensive Plan Update in May.
