Absentee voting for the 2020 presidential primary began on January 17. Ramsey County voters may cast an absentee ballot in person or through the mail. From February 25 through March 2, residents may vote early in person.
Absentee in-person voting locations through March 2:

• 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
New Brighton Community Center, 400 10th St. NW, New Brighton
• 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Ramsey County Library – Roseville, 2180 Hamline Ave., Roseville
• 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A person may register to vote, complete an absentee ballot application, and vote all at the same time.
Anyone who wants to vote through the mail must complete an application to have a ballot sent to them. Apply for an absentee ballot at rcelections.org or call 651-266-2171 to request an application.
In the Presidential Primary, each major party specifies the candidates that will appear on the ballot and determines if an uncommitted option or write-in option is allowed. In the Presidential Primary, voters will select whether they want to vote on the Democrat or Republican ticket, and a voter’s choice of party will become public information. From February 25 through March 2, Ramsey County residents may vote in person at any of the early voting locations in Ramsey County. When voting early, the voter feeds the ballot into a voting machine.
