Please join the City of Roseville on January 30 as the Police Department recognizes officers for their outstanding police work. Several private citizens will also be recognized for their assistance to police.
Officer Bryan Anderson will receive an Award of Merit. This award is given to an officer for outstanding performance of duty under unusual or difficult conditions. This action need not involve physical danger, but must involve protection of life or property and unusual thoroughness, conscientiousness, determination, and initiative.
Officers Joe Cox, Kevin Johnson, Jeff Lopez, Brady Martin and Sergeant Travis Steinberg will receive the Life Saving Award. This award is given to an officer for an act performed in the line of duty that through prompt and alert action, and under extraordinary circumstances, results in saving a life.
Thirty-six officers and a K9 will receive Unit Citations at the awards ceremony. Unit Citations are awarded for exceptional police work or accomplishments that involve personal danger or adverse conditions. This award recognizes teamwork by two or more officers.
Lieutenants Joe Adams and Scott Williams, Sergeants Jamie Baker, Jen Engh, Sean Johnson, Tom Pitzl and Travis Steinberg, Officers Bryan Anderson, Josh Arneson, Boua Chang, Mitch Christensen, Joe Cox, Grant Dattilo, Mitch Dickens, Kyle Eckert and K9 Ragnar, Dan Ehnstrom, Tom Gray, Tom Hicke, Mike Holtmeier, Kevin Johnson, John Jorgensen, Ashleigh Larrive, Jeff Lopez, Christine Marston, Matt Nelson, Erin Reski, Al Stefani, Haivy Vang, Isaiah Walker, Ryan Weber and Zach Wiesner, Detectives Mark Ganley, Crystal Jones, Jesse Lowther and Juan Toran and CSO Talia Kindom will receive Unit Citations.
In addition to the officers, five citizens will be recognized. They will each receive a Certificate of Appreciation for their assistance to the Roseville Police.
The award ceremony gets underway at 5:00 p.m. at the Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive, Roseville. The community is invited to celebrate the accomplishments of the police officers and private citizens.
