The Roseville Fire Department will be accepting donations of homemade masks on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Drop off masks at the Fire Department at 2701 Lexington Ave.
Roseville Fire is joining fire departments across the state to collect masks in an effort to help flatten the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) curve and help keep all Minnesotans safe.
The Fire Department will collect the masks, then donate them to those most in need, with an emphasis on workers at congregate care facilities and high density apartment tenants in Roseville. The Fire Department will also keep some masks at the fire station available for those in need.
Please keep in mind that homemade masks are not a replacement for medical-grade personal protective equipment, but can help keep the wearer’s germs from getting on other people, which is a key to stopping the spread of COVID-19.
