As the City of Roseville moves forward with its phased response to COVID-19, the Parks and Recreation Department has announced several expanded program and service offerings.
Recreational programs, including day camps, nature camps, introductory sport camps and activity-based programs are tentatively scheduled for this summer, some with modifications.
The scheduled programs have been designed to comply with Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidance for youth recreational programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visit www.cityofroseville.com/3466/2020-Summer-Program-Updates for a complete listing of program and service course descriptions and registration information. Registration for some programs begins on June 1.
Playgrounds in all Roseville Parks are now open for use. Per CDC guidelines, users should wash or sanitize hands before and after use, maintain a six-foot social distance between users and limit the total number of users on a playset to 10 or fewer at a time. Playgrounds equipment is not regularly cleaned or sanitized. Please use at your own risk.
Crews at the Roseville Skating Center are beginning to reinstall indoor ice in anticipation of a mid-June reopening date that will include modified operations. Visit www.cityofrsoseville.com/skatingcenter for updates and schedules.
In compliance with Phase II of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s Stay Safe MN order, summer concerts at the Frank Rog Amphitheatre (ROG) through July 4 as well as the roll-in movie planned for the OVAL on June 12 have been canceled. At this time, Summer Entertainment performances at the ROG and roll-in movies scheduled after July 4 are tentatively scheduled to move forward.
Private rental facilities, including picnic shelters, park buildings and banquet spaces will continue to be closed through July 4.
The City of Roseville and the Parks and Recreation Department continue to monitor the latest guidance from state health officials to determine future programming opportunities.
