[ARCHIVED] COVID 19 Program and Facilities Updates

Parks and Recreation programs and facilities impacted by COVID-19.

Roseville Parks and Recreation is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our participants, staff and community as a whole. Below are modifications that are in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

PROGRAMS & EVENTS

  • Click here to view the status of specific summer recreational programs.
  • Updates on fall program offerings will be available August 10. 
  • The following events have been canceled:
    • Discover Your Parks (until further notice)
  • Modified summer concerts will be held beginning July 7 using an MDH guided COVID-19 Safety Plan.

RENTAL FACILITIES

  • Beginning July 6, picnic shelters will be available for rental at 25% capacity and following all social distancing and MDH Outdoor Recreation guidelines. 
  • Existing facility reservations at the Cedarholm Community Building and Roseville Skating Center may be accommodated on limited bases, with an accepted safety plan that includes following all MDH guidelines and reduced room capacities. 

ROSEVILLE SKATING CENTER

  • The Roseville Skating Center is currently open for private rentals and recreational programs. Public activities have been suspended until further notice.  View www.skatetheoval.com for updates. 
  • The skate park at the OVAL is open.

GOLF COURSE

  • Cedarholm Golf Course is open with social distancing measures in place. 
  • Golf leagues will be permitted under a modified format.

PARKS

  • Parks, trails and open spaces remain open for use while exercising social distancing.
    • Please do not use the parks if you are sick
    • Wash your hands before and after using the park.
    • Please respect others’ social distancing by leaving 6 feet of space between yourself and other users.
    • Consider using the parks during non-peak hours.
  • Playgrounds are open for use. 
    • Playgrounds are not able to be disinfected and should be used at your own risk.
    • Please wash your hands before and after your visit.
    • Please bring and apply hand sanitizer before and after use.
    • Participants and spectators should maintain six feet of distance from those from other households.
    • Please limit use to times when less than 10 people are present.
  • All sport courts are open for use following MDH guidance on Social Distancing in Athletics. 
  • Athletic fields may be used in compliance MDH Guidance for Social Distancing for Youth Sport
  • Rosebrook pool will be closed until further notice.
  • Select restrooms throughout the park system are open.
  • Community Garden plots that have already been rented will be available with social distancing measures in place.

Following additional guidance, facilities, events and activities may be adjusted during this period and beyond. We will post updates as new information becomes available. Program and facility supervisors will be contacting participants directly regarding schedule adjustments or refunds once the duration of the closure is understood.

This is a dynamic situation that we are closely monitoring, analyzing and adjusting to. We encourage you to check cityofroseville.com/parks for updates.
