On Saturday, September 12, the City of Roseville and a host of volunteers will be planting more than 100 trees during a community tree-planting event in various city parks from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
The event is being made possible thanks to an Emerald Ash Borer Community Forest Response Tree Planting Grant from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR).
The tree planting is part of the Roseville’s ongoing natural resources renewal eco-restoration efforts to remove invasive and non-native plant species and plant native species in natural areas of city parks.
Roseville hosts a natural resources volunteer opportunity on the third Saturday of each month. Groups, individuals, and families are encouraged to participate. People of all ages are welcome and have a role to play.
To get involved with this month’s natural resources renewal tree planting event, contact Volunteer Coordinator Rachel Boggs at 651-792-7028 or rachel.boggs@cityofroseville.com for planting location information and additional event details.
