Severe Weather Awareness Week

Severe Weather_Thunder Storm

April 12-16 is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota. Roseville Fire and Police ask residents, schools and businesses to review emergency plans for taking shelter in case of severe weather.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety promotes a better understanding of the types of severe weather that can occur in Minnesota and what you can do to protect yourself, your family and your business. Visit to learn about weather dangers and tips to remain safe during different kinds of weather emergencies. A different type of weather emergency will be highlighted each day.

April 12 – Alerts and Warnings
April 13 – Severe Weather, Lightning and Hail
April 14 – Floods
April 15 – Tornado Drill Day -- Emergency sirens will sound at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
April 16 – Extreme Heat
