The Roseville License and Passport Centers, 2737 Lexington Ave., are now serving walk-in customers for driver's license applications, motor vehicle transactions, fish and game applications, and passport services.
Driver’s license, vehicle services and passport operations were one of the early casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic. But after briefly closing their doors during the early days of the Governor’s StaySafeMN order, the License Center and Passport Center were soon back up and running by mid-May 2020 thanks to a creative reopening plan that included an online appointment system. The appointment system streamlined transactions and building occupancy, allowing staff and customers to provide services in a safer environment.
The License Center also continued to process tab renewals via the mail, a 24-hour accessible drop box, and later added walk-in tab services to meet the needs of its customers.
Both the License Center and Passport Center continue to offer appointments. However, as conditions related to COVID-19 improve, each has now resumed offering a walk-in option for all services.
