Roseville Parks and Recreation invites the community to a very special Discover Your Parks event on Wednesday, August 11, when the city unveils its inclusive playground expansion at Central Park Victoria.
All Roseville playgrounds offer amenities for people with limited mobility, but this inclusive playground offers additional unique and universal play opportunities for children and adults of all ability levels. The new playground area includes wheelchair friendly rubber and turf surfaces, a concrete loop around the play site, a rolling slide, wee-go round, quiet space and accessible climbing features.
The inclusive playground expansion at Central Park Victoria, 2495 Victoria St., was funded entirely by a donation that was facilitated by Friends of Roseville Parks (FOR Parks). FOR Parks members also participated in the planning and development of the project. Learn more about FOR Parks at friendsofrosevilleparks.org.
The inclusive playground celebration begins at 6:00 p.m. A ribbon cutting to celebrate the playset and to thank FOR Parks for its generous contribution will be held at 6:15 p.m. That will be followed by the final Discover Your Parks of the season, and will include kid-friendly games, crafts and a puppet wagon performance.
Roseville Parks and Recreation strives to offer a full array of activities for all interests and abilities. It is recognized as a Nationally Accredited Parks and Recreation Agency, one of three in Minnesota and 184 agencies nationwide to earn this honor.
