Why should you apply to become a City of Roseville Board Commissioner? We can't answer that for you, but these phenomenal City commissioners sure can. Take a look below and see if you would like a "seat at the table."

There are three open commissioner positions open in the City of Roseville.

  • Finance Commission
  • Parks and Recreation Commission
  • Public Works, Environment, and Transportation (PWET) Commission

Application deadline is March 7, 2022. In order to be considered for the position, simply fill out an application and representatives of the City will contact you to go through next steps.

These commission positions are held by real people in the community, and although they all have different reasons they give for applying for these volunteer positions, you'll begin to see a general theme of service and leadership. Take a look and see if any of these reasons interest YOU!

Bruce Bester: Roseville Finance Commissioner:

  1. To use my skills, training, and background to help make Roseville an even better place to live, work and do business.
  2. I feel good about using my talents to help our city.
  3. Build my network – meet and work with other community minded persons as well as city staff and elected officials.
  4. Become more aware of the many resources and things our city has to offer.
  5. As a lifelong volunteer I know that volunteers commonly get back more than they give. Be a little selfish – do it for yourself and your community!

Thomas Brooks: Equity and Inclusion Manager

  1. An opportunity to give back to the community
  2. A seat at the table; to guide and be a voice in the direction of the city
  3. Constant learning and growth
  4. To be an advocate and connector for your neighbors, and expand your network
  5. The ability to generate solutions for issues in the city
