It's the heat and the humidity. This heat is not only uncomfortable, it could be life threatening, especially for elderly people who are more vulnerable to the heat.
Take extra care over the next few days. Temperatures are predicted to reach the mid-90s. Most of us simply crank up the AC and stay indoors to beat the heat, but not everyone has air conditioning. We encourage you to check on your neighbors. Make sure they have fans or invite them to your home to cool off.
Residents who don’t have air conditioning are encouraged to take advantage of the many public places that are air conditioned. The Roseville Library, shopping malls and movie theaters can give a respite. If you really want to cool down, visit the Roseville Skating Center. The Indoor Skating Arena has plenty of bleachers and stays a cool 55 degrees, or you can get your exercise and take advantage of the walking track that circles the arena.
