The interchange at Hwy 36 and Fairview Avenue near Rosedale Center will close for a month starting on June 26 for reconstruction.
In addition, Fairview Avenue will also remain a single lane in each direction between County Road D and County Road B2 through the end of August. Motorists will not be able to make left turns along that stretch.
Minnesota Department of Transportation, which is overseeing the project, has identified several alternate routes including using Interstate 35W and Snelling Avenue to enter and exit Hwy 36.

Crews will rebuild the ramps and loops at the interchange. They will also make drainage improvements, add new right turn lanes on northbound Fairview Avenue and improve access to Rosedale Center.
Crews will also remove the concrete median and relocate signals to allow for the through movement of northbound Fairview Ave. traffic to the mall's west entrance. Existing sidewalks will be rebuilt to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards.
The project is anticipated to be completed in late August.
