[ARCHIVED] Firefighters Train by Burning House

House burn

On Saturday, April 27, Roseville firefighters will battle a fire, and they invite you to watch. Firefighters will conduct a live fire training session at 2325 Dale St North. The training session will begin around 7:00 am and end by 1:00 pm.

Currently a private home is located at the address. The home is being razed, and the homeowner has agreed to allow the City to burn it so firefighters can get hands-on experience in a real, but controlled, fire situation.

This will be a great opportunity to see the Roseville Fire Department at work, strengthening their techniques and skills to better protect the community. Visitors are welcome to take pictures and ask questions of personnel at the drills, but please respect the dangers that fire can cause and stay within designated areas. Parking will be available on Lovell Ave. and Cope Ave., near the house burn.

Roseville Firefighters are very active with training, and live fire training is one of their biggest and best training opportunities to hone their skills. Contact Fire Battalion Chief David Brosnahan at 651-775-3572 if you have questions.
