[ARCHIVED] Ramsey County Offers Code Red

Code Red logo

Roseville residents, we want to reach you. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with CodeRED to provide county-wide community alerts and notifications.

CodeRED sends geographically targeted communications during critical incidents. Localized or county-wide messages are sent dependent upon need. Register online. Sign up is free, quick, secure and confidential.

You will receive notifications about:

• Lost, abducted or missing children or vulnerable adults
• Increases in crime (e.g., crime alerts for neighborhoods and businesses)• Bio-terrorism and hazards materials or chemical spills
• Sex (predatory) offender notifications • Natural disasters
• Fires and evacuations• Pandemics

The CodeRED system uses your address to send targeted messages. Ramsey County residents are asked to enter their home and work addresses, along with their landline and mobile phone numbers and email address. This ensures that alerts and notifications are received when needed.

The CodeRED database contains some basic phonebook information, but if you have an unlisted phone number, mobile phone, or voice over IP (VOIP), your number may not be in the database. If your contact information is not in the database, you will not receive alerts.
