[ARCHIVED] Fire Station Grand Opening

drawing of new fire station

Celebrate the grand opening of Roseville’s new fire station. Join the City on Saturday, October 12, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and see the future of firefighting in Roseville.

The City of Roseville will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 p.m. and then visitors will be invited to tour the new fire station. You’ll get to see live training demonstrations and historical displays and enjoy refreshments.

The new station, located at 2701 Lexington Ave North, consolidates three older stations into one central location, providing improved coverage for the entire city.

The station has six drive-through bays, making it safer for firefighters to drive fire trucks and other vehicles into the building. It includes sleeping rooms and adequate privacy for male and female firefighters. It includes space for firefighter training so firefighters can receive on-site training that meets or exceeds their recertification requirements.

The station was built on the same site as Roseville’s original fire station. It uses sustainable technologies, including geothermal heating, natural lighting, LED lighting, high R-value walls and windows and a white membrane roof that reflects solar light and heat.

Street parking or parking at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Dr. is available. Overflow parking is available at the Roseville Skating Center.
