Imagine throwing a party and having next to no garbage when you’re done.
Roseville is working to make the Living Smarter Home and Garden Fair on Saturday, February 15, a zero waste event, and we need your help.
Last year, 93% of all the trash created during the fair was either recycled or composted. Volunteers are needed to help achieve this success again in 2014.
Volunteer are needed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Morning and afternoon volunteer shifts are available. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Roseville’s Recycling Coordinator Ryan Johnson at ryan.johnson@ci.roseville.mn.us or 651-792-7049.
About the Fair: The "Living Smarter" Roseville Home & Garden Fair creates excitement and enthusiasm for environmentally-friendly ways to improve your home, garden, and lifestyle. The Living Smarter Fair features local builders, remodelers, home construction product vendors, healthy living specialists, and landscape and garden centers. It also includes free how-to workshops throughout the day, drawings for prizes, and children's activities. Get more fair details at www.livingsmarter.org/fair.html.
