[ARCHIVED] Fire Department Ice Rescue Training

Roseville Firefighters are getting ready to take a polar plunge. The Roseville Fire Department will collaborate with the Ramsey County Sheriff in an ice rescue training drill on February 20.

The training will take place at Lake Josephine in Roseville on Thursday, February 20, at 6:30 PM. Roseville Firefighters and Ramsey County Sheriff will practice several self-rescue and victim rescue scenarios during the training session, which is expected to last more than an hour.

This co-training drill is one of several in which the Roseville Fire Department participates each year. The department also trains weekly on different firefighting tactics, emergency medicine training, and many other firefighting and rescue drills and trainings scenarios.
