Rain Garden for Your Yard
Choose one of three introductory classes to start planning a rain garden and understand their purpose to improve water quality. You’ll get information about design options and assistance, how to arrange a free site visit, and how to apply for grants through your local watershed district.

Join a Ramsey Conservation District landscape designer at a private home in Roseville to learn how to analyze your site, test for soil infiltration and determine your drainage area.

Rain Garden Design Workshop - Garden Layout and Plant Design Prerequisite: Site Assessment Class
Join landscape designer Joe Lochner for an overview of rain garden design principles. Bring your site base map and results of your infiltration test to use to design your own rain garden. Lochner and Master Gardeners will help you find ways to solve drainage issues and provide individual design assistance.

Has your rain garden been overrun by weeds? Does it need a few new plants or a complete overhaul? Get tips on how to rescue your rain garden and make it the garden of your dreams. See slides of the new plants and designs Maplewood is using. We’ll have time to answer questions and help you figure out where to start.

"Divide & Conquer" in Your Rain Garden
It's spring clean-up time for rain gardens. Learn how to cut back old vegetation, divide and transplant perennials and prevent erosion at the inlet. We'll cover strategies for dealing with aggressive plants. Meet in the neighborhood for an outdoor demonstration. Dress for the weather!
