[ARCHIVED] Happy Hour – Not so Happy

Make sure your next happy hour stays happy. Roseville Police remind you to not leave electronics or other valuables in your vehicle. Thieves often target cars parked at bars or restaurants during happy hour

. They know that people getting off of work often leave their laptops, electronics and other valuables in their vehicles while stopping off for happy hour.

If you must leave valuables in your vehicle, then store the items in the trunk before you arrive at your destination. Park as near as possible to the front entrance or in a well-lighted and highly visible area. Lock the doors and the trunk and set your car alarm.

Roseville Police encourage you to photograph and/or record the serial numbers of your valuables. Documenting your valuables helps law enforcement return stolen items to the rightful owners and also helps link suspects to crimes. If items are stolen, you’ll have a better chance of getting them back if the police recover stolen property.

Roseville residents can contact Community Relations Coordinator Corey Yunke at 651-792-7209 or corey.yunke@ci.roseville.mn.us for additional safety information.
