Get your hands dirty and volunteer. Roseville Parks and Recreation is looking for some green thumbs. Even if your thumb isn’t so green, you can help.
Roseville relies on volunteers to help keep city parks in tiptop shape. Each year, individuals, businesses and community groups help through the Adopt a Park program, the Arboretum Green Team or the Blooming Boulevards program. These bighearted volunteers plant, weed, water and so much more in the parks, along boulevards and at the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum.
If you love plants or are curious to learn, contact Park Superintendent Jeff Evenson at jeff.evenson@ci.roseville.mn.us or 651-792-7107. Evenson is putting work teams together for the planting season, so please call today. Whether you can volunteer a few hours or want to work every day, he’ll help find the right park project for you.
