Traffic enforcement is a priority for the Roseville Police. The Police Department patrols approximately 120 miles of city, county, state and interstate roadways. They offer an “Adopt a Speed Board” program to address traffic concerns on those streets. The speed board program helps to remind motorists that the speed limit on residential streets is 30 mph unless otherwise posted. It also has a flashing light to warn speeding motorists to reduce their speed.

Individuals or neighbors apply to have a temporary Adopt a Speed Board sign on their street. Once a request has been authorized, officers teach participants how to maintain the speed board sign, and the sign is located in a neighborhood for 14 days. At the end of the two weeks, police remove the display and, if needed and as time allows, increase patrols in the neighborhood.
