Young actors, spend your summer practicing your craft. Roseville Parks and Recreation and Rosetown Playhouse invite you to Summer Arts Theatre Camp. Sign up for one, two, three or four of the weeklong camps.
Tall Tales and Tiaras – July 7-11. A special opportunity for younger kids. It takes a special princess to wear a tiara made of sugar and spice. Can a team of princes work together to crown the real princess? Recommended for ages 7-11. Workshop with an introduction to acting.
Local Superhero – July 14-18. Who are the superheroes in your neighborhood? A business owner discovers a magic top hat that causes your teeth to fall out. Can a group of neighborhood children use their own powers to thwart the evil Tooth Fairy? Will old man Smithers find his teeth? Recommended for ages 8-13. Acting for a musical.
Wizard School Diaries – July 21-25. Can you walk on walls or turn invisible? Welcome to the Jimmy Potter School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a special camp designed for actors and techies who work behind the scene. Recommended for ages 11-15.
Zombies and Vampires….with some Pizza – July 28-August 1. A group of supernatural know-it-alls discover trouble while traveling through Uptown. They find themselves in a pizza house surrounded by zombies when the vampires come to rescue them. Recommended for ages 8-13. Acting for a musical.
Camps meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Roseville Area Middle School, 15 East County Road B2, Little Canada. Final presentation on Fridays. Kids should bring a lunch each day.
