Roseville Police remind you to plan carefully before visiting a park, both locally and while traveling. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
Thieves know that visitors often leave purses, cell phones, laptops, and other valuables in their vehicles while hiking or picnicking, so vehicles in parking lots become easy targets. Consider wearing a backpack or fanny pack to carry your valuables. If you don’t want to carry them, leave them at home. Do not put something in your trunk or under your seat while at a park. Thieves may be watching and note what you are doing. Contact Police Community Relations Coordinator Corey Yunke at corey.yunke@ci.roseville.mn.us or 651-792-7209 for more park safety tips.
