The Commission will discuss the deer population in Roseville at its meeting on Tuesday, February 3. Over the past several years, city officials have received concerns about the number of deer on private property and roadways.
Some residents have requested that the city consider options to control the deer population, while others oppose any action. The Commission will discuss options at their February meeting.
Update
The February 3 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting will be held in its regular location at City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The advisory commission’s meeting was schedule to be held in the new building at Lexington Park, which was recently completed as part of the Parks and Recreation Renewal Program. However, due to heavy interest in the meeting’s subject matter concerning Roseville’s deer population, the meeting has been moved back to its traditional location in the City Council Chambers to better accommodate a live cable telecast.
The meeting is open to the public and will be telecast live on Cable Channel 16. A link to a live stream of the meeting will also be available on the Parks and Recreation Commission page of the cityofroseville.com website.
For more information about the meeting, a complete agenda and information packet will be available on the Commission webpage late next week.
