MnDOT will close Highway 36 from Roseville to Maplewood this weekend as part of the southbound I-35E reconstruction project beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, May 1. The roadway and ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, May 4.
Both directions of Highway 36 will be closed to traffic between I-35W and Highway 61, with the exception of local access for eastbound Highway 36 motorists up to Rice Street.
Highway 36 will be closed to facilitate removal of the I-35E bridge that spans the motorway. During the closure, motorists will be detoured on I-35W, I-694 and Highway 61.
Following the Highway 36 closure, Roselawn Avenue and County Road B will close sequentially at I-35E for removal of the southbound I-35E bridges spanning each road during the week of May 4.
Roselawn will close at I-35E after Highway 36 reopens. During the closure, motorists will be detoured to Edgerton Street, County Road B and Rice Street. Roselawn is anticipated to remain closed for up to two days.
After Roselawn reopens, County Road B will close. During the closure, motorists will be detoured to Edgerton Street, Roselawn Avenue and Rice Street. County Road B is anticipated to remain closed for up to two days.
