The City of Roseville will partner with a Twin Cities nonprofit to ensure children and adults of all abilities can more fully participate and enjoy recreational programs.

The invasive emerald ash borer, a metallic green beetle with a menacing appetite, has doomed millions of ash trees in the United States and in Minnesota.

In response to the pest, the City of Roseville has launched a multi-pronged approach that includes planting 1,500 trees. That’s 40 percent more than the 900 public ash trees in parks and along boulevards slated for removal.

Keya means turtle in the Dakota language and it's now the new name for a Roseville neighborhood park.

2023 Spring Tree Sale Opens March 1

Roseville Tree Sale preview is now open.

As part of the City of Roseville’s multi-pronged Emerald Ash Borer Program, the city is excited to partner with Tree Trust to help create an affordable option for residents to help maintain the tree canopy on private property in Roseville.

Here are the Details:

  • Ordering begins March 1st, 2023 at 8:00am. Trees are $40 each. You may purchase 2 trees per Roseville address. Landlords may purchase trees for up to 5 properties. Trees must be planted in Roseville.

Matthew Johnson Named Roseville Parks and Recreation Director

On June 3, 2022, Matthew Johnson will officially serve the City of Roseville as the new Parks and Recreation Director. Johnson will replace Lonnie Brokke, who recently announced his retirement after serving Roseville for 32 years.

Johnson has been with Roseville since 2013 and has held a variety of roles with the City. In 2018, Johnson was promoted to the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director.
