Remembering When

Safety for Older Adults

Join the Roseville Fire Department at the Ramsey County Library in Roseville on Monday, October 28 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for and important, free safety presentation for older adults. “Remembering When” uses trivia, humor and nostalgia to teach older adults ways to protect themselves from fires and falls.The focus of the presentation is on fun, but the safety messages are serious. By the age 65, adults are twice as likely to be killed or injured by fires compared to the population at large. Hands-only CPR Class

Roseville firefighters are offering free, hands-only cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The next class is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16. The hour-long class meets at the Roseville Fire Station, 2701 Lexington Ave. Firefighters will teach an easy-to-learn hands-only CPR process. Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops and can no longer pump blood to the brain or vital organs. Read more

Garlic Mustard Pulling

Help Maintain Roseville Parks

Make an impact on Roseville parks and natural resources. Roseville is looking for nature lovers to help improve city parks. On October 19, we’ll be pulling invasive garlic mustard from 10 a.m. to noon at Villa Park. Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at a local park as part of the city’s natural resources renewal project. These efforts have helped restore native habitat and have reduced the spread of garlic mustard, buckthorn and other non-native species. Read more

Roseville’s Got Talent! Show us what you got at Roseville’s Open Mic Night. Join us at Cedarholm Community Building, 2323 Hamline Ave., on Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. Open Mic Night is a chance to showcase your talent at this family-friendly gathering.
