In addition to voting at the polling place on election day, voters can vote early, either through the mail or in person.

Voting through the mail

Complete an application at rcelections.org and a ballot will be mailed to you, or call 651-266-2171 to request an application. Once you complete the application and mail it to Ramsey County, a ballot will be mailed to you.

Absentee/early voting at Ramsey County Elections Office and the Ramsey County Library in Roseville begins 45 days before the election.

3. How do I register to vote?

You may register any time up to 20 days prior to an election or register at the polls on Election Day. A person can register online at www.MNVotes.org.

4. How do I become an election judge?

Ramsey County hires and trains all election judges. Call 651-266-2219 or visit rcelections.org to get information about applying to be an election judge.

5. What hours are the polls open?

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on each Election day.

6. When’s the next election?

The primary election will be August 9, 2022 and the general election will be November 8, 2022. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

7. What are the rules about posting campaign signs?

Roseville City Code 1009.3E states: 1. In years when a state general election is held, political signs may be posted 46 days before the primary election until 10 days following the state general election. Any such signs must be removed by those responsible for their being posted. 2. In years when no state general election is held, if there is a primary for any office, political signs for all offices may be posted no more than twenty one (21) days before the primary election. When there is no primary for any office, such signs may be posted not more than twenty one (21) days before the general election. All such signs must be removed by those responsible for their being posted within five (5) days following the general election. Said political signs shall not exceed twelve (12) square feet gross area. 3. Political signs shall be set back at least fifteen feet (15') from the outside edge of any street or back of curb of all city and county streets. 4. Political signs shall not be placed so as to cause a hazard to public safety. 5. Political signs shall not be placed on any property without permission of the property owner. 6. Political signs shall not be located on any city owned property. 7. Signs in violation of above provisions may be removed by city staff and stored for two (2) weeks. After two (2) weeks, unclaimed signs will be disposed of by the city. (Ord. 1165, 2-12-1996)

8. Whom do I call if I have a complaint about a sign?

Residents are encouraged to contact the candidate and ask him/her to remove any signs that are illegally placed. Residents can call Code Enforcement at 651-792-7014. They will respond as time allows.

Election results are compiled by Ramsey County and are available on their website.
